This is the ultimate accommodation choice for your safari. Top lodges are located from Cape Town to the various wilderness areas and most places in between. Here you'll find superb service, farm to table cuisine and luxurious furnishings. Most often there will be a pool and often a spa. For those requiring top hotels or lodges, we'll suggest the right property for you.
PERMANENT TENTED CAMPS
Permanent tented camps are able to offer more amenities than a mobile camp. They're situated in wilderness areas or national parks and range from basic to five star. Sleeping under canvas is an experience not to be missed, and we urge our guests to try at least one tented camp on safari. Amenities usually include a lounge and dining room but there is no swimming pool. Service is excellent and there are usually about ten tents.
MOBILE TENTED CAMPING
It doesn't get any better than this! Our favourite way to experience the bush is to stay in a private, classic safari camp with tents set up in strategic places specific to the area and time of year. This is not your grandparent's camping! Often referred to as "glamping" these camps provide amazing food, exceptional service and unbelievable amenities including hot showers on demand.
VALUE FOR MONEY LODGING
We work mainly with owner operated lodgings including hotels, safari lodges and tented camps. We use smaller properties such as boutique hotels and lodges, avoiding large groups wherever possible. Our personal knowledge of each place and our connections with management and staff ensures that our guests receive priority treatment. It's possible to have excellent service and amenities for all budgets.
